We specialize in evaluations for children and teens including that for learning differences, ADHD and anxiety. A proper diagnosis will help the parent direct the child’s education and may change parenting approaches. If your child is struggling academically, we will find the cause and communicate it to you in a personal meeting followed up by a written report. The latter often goes to the school and/or doctor.

Having been in Boca Raton for 32 years, and a FAU adjunct, we have a relationship with most area public and private schools. We can facilitate placement via helping with decisions about specific schools and use of IEP/504 or other accommodations. This extends from elementary school to college.

Our testing is a very reliable method capable of detecting the causes of any school-related or behavioral issue. Testing for learning issues is a 4-session process, often completed virtually, encompassing an initial background interview and two 2 hour testing sessions. Parents then have a private meeting with the doctor to review results and recommendations.

The evaluation is customized to the problems presented, meaning we do not use a "one size fits all" evaluation process. Common tests include the Wechsler Intelligence scales, Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Achievement, Cognitive Abilities and Oral Language plus the Continuous Performance Test. I meet personally with parents to review test results and discuss treatment plans (called the gameplan), in a no-nonsense straight-talk manner. We also connect with area doctors and schools. We give concrete recommendations and referrals but offer no counseling ourselves. We take NO INSURANCE but offer receipts for reimbursement.
